Word.
Listening to music like, "where did I go wrong? I lost a friend somewhere along in the bitterness, and I would've stayed up with you all night, had I known how to save a life." I mean, don't get me wrong or anything, I love The Fray, but how do those lyrics give anyone hope? It's a sad story of someone expressing their grief on how they couldn't help someone in their life, but honestly, the world doesn't need another sad story. Or take Nietzsche, "Hope in reality is the worst of all evils, because it prolongs the torments of man." How the heck are you supposed to be optimistic when you read quotes like that? I agree, this is a free country and we pride ourself on free speech. I am just sending out a message to the world. Get your happy faces on, you're not the only one having a bad day or facing the rain. We all have our own difficulties, but I swear, when I see one of you, my fellow humans, smile, it makes my day, because then, I know everything is going to be alright. That's hope. Word.
