On an Arabian night, there is a view
Of ten thousand – dead.
To make amends there is no queue,
Brothers’ and sisters’ sanguinity is shed.
Religion should never play a part
But the daunting questions remain
Because land was not man’s from the start
“Oh Lord, what do they wish to gain?”
The Abrahamic faiths connected by a single thread,
Conflicting interests induced the war of ages.
The fate of this land appears to have been said
Not one stops to think for himself, not even the sages.
But I have hope for Israel and Palestine,
Between hatred and misunderstanding, there is a fine line.
